Hospitals donation

by Mark Rowe

For a second year High Wycombe-based Risk Management Security Services has donated to Oxford Hospitals Charity. The latest donation of £20,000 goes to Oxford Children’s Hospital and Oxford Heart Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Risk Management Security Services Managing director Graham Tilly, pictured third from left, said: “We are delighted to be able to make such a significant donation once again this year. Oxford Hospitals Charity is very close to the hearts of our team as their hospitals have provided outstanding care for our chairman, John Herring, and my granddaughter ‘little’ Logan Tilly-Ware, who was born with a rare form of cancer.

“Both John and three-year-old Logan have been provided with amazing medical care and support over recent years, so we are thrilled to be able put something back to help other patients.

“£10,000 will be directed to support the Oxford Heart Centre and a further £10,000 to support the Oxford Children’s Hospital, including the very special Kamran’s Ward which gives dedicated care to children with cancer. Oxford is the largest area of operation for our company so we are delighted to give back to this wonderful community – so many of whom will regularly rely on the support of their local hospitals.

“And it was lovely to be able to meet the charity team again, presenting our cheque in the sunshine, and to hear how much of a difference donations like ours make to patients and staff in the hospitals. We are all sincerely grateful for the incredible skill and dedication that has been afforded to us by the many hospital staff – we take our hats off to you all!”

Lucy Budgett, from Oxford Hospitals Charity, added: “I know I speak on behalf of our clinical colleagues in the hospitals when I say how appreciative we all are for this very kind donation. We really are hugely grateful for the ongoing support of Risk Management Security Services.

“Our Oxford Cancer Centre, Children’s Hospital and Heart Centre have all benefitted from their kind generosity over many years and we are so excited about the impact that this new donation will have. Support like this allows us to greatly enhance the medical equipment and technology used in our hospitals, as well improve the hospital environments patients and staff spend time in – and this significant gift will have such a positive impact. It also was an absolute joy to meet up with everyone when they formally presented their donation – as the photos show, Logan is such a character who charmed us all.”
