Online intelligence toolkit

by Mark Rowe

At the Security and Policing Conference 2016 show in Farnborough, Netwatch Global is to launch an online intelligence toolkit.

The tools will assist the firm’s clients in gathering intelligence using open source data without leaving a digital footprint and while complying with relevant legislation. Clients will be able to use the tools to keep track of movements across borders, locate social media profiles, and monitor social media activity. The developers say that they will add new tools to the service every quarter, working with users to address any emerging challenges they may face.

David Purcell, pictured centre, managing director of Netwatch Global, said: “Our online intelligence tools offer new ways for our clients to gather information. The tools should assist researchers and investigators, enabling them to obtain more intelligence, or simply to do their jobs faster and more effectively.

“Many of the tools were developed for internal use to solve problems faced by our team of analysts, and so have been tested extensively. We quickly realised that many of our clients would also benefit from having access to some of these tools.

“We’re passionate about innovation at Netwatch and are looking forward to expanding the toolkit in the coming months.”

Mr Purcell will talk in more detail about one of the tools, Travel Tracker, which monitors individuals’ travel patterns, at the Security and Policing Conference, where Netwatch will be exhibiting in the Cyber Zone.
