Camera for 360 degrees outdoors

by Mark Rowe

A panoramic view with just a single camera is now also available for outdoor use from Geutebrück; its G-Cam EHC 3285.

With IK 10, the new 360 degree IP camera provides protection against vandalism and other external factors. Due to its dewarping function – converting the 360 degree image to an intelligible panoramic image – the user sees ‘straightened’, images, in the live stream as well as in recordings.

The 360 degree image can be converted into up to four ‘straightened’ image areas. Dewarping not only makes the evaluation of the image more comfortable, it makes it faster and more secure as well, the German manufacturers say.

Geutebrück’s 6 megapixel IP camera is suitable the makers say for 360 degree surveillance applications outdoors thanks to its IP66 and IK10 ratings. It is suitable for ambient temperatures from plus 50 to minus 10 degrees C. Its integrated infra-red LED illumination provides security around the clock. Like any Geutebrück camera, it fits into all digital the company’s recording systems. With a frame rate of up to 25 frames per second with H.264 transmission, with the 1/1.8-inch CMOS image sensor with progressive scan, every image detail is recorded. An option for local or decentralized power supply via PoE provides for flexibility during the installation.
