If you were a visitor to Tyco Security Products’ stand at the IFSEC trade show in May at the Birmingham NEC, or indeed other trade events, you might have stopped a while to admire the Tyco-emblazoned bikes, official clothing and other merchandise. For more about the company’s connection with sport on two wheels, visit the Tyco Security Products blog post by Phil Dashey.
Since 2011, Tyco Security Products has been a sponsor and backer of motorsports, most recently teaming with TAS Racing in Moneymore, Northern Ireland, the official factory racing team of Suzuki Great Britain. Tyco began its motorsports connection through the British Superbike Championship, this new connection to Suzuki and TAS for the 2012 season now takes the company into motocross (MX) and road racing too.
Through the manufacturer’s exposure via the racing circuit, it’s also been able to make some off-track gains, with 2011 CCTV installations at Oulton Park and Snetterton — two English racing parks. The systems, which are used for monitoring the health and safety of riders, were installed by consortium partners, including installer WOT Security.
