The International Foundation for Protection Officers (UK) is set to host IFPO LIVE 26, its free national conference on security performance and careers, at the Coventry Building Society Arena (pictured) on Thursday, July 2. The day will gather security leaders, buyers and frontline officers to explore “what good looks like” in guarding. Topics will include regulation and labour standards; skills, careers and customer outcomes.
Chaired by Farah Benis, Director at FFA Security and Vice Chair of ASIS UK, the programme features keynotes and panels with end users, regulators, membership bodies and education providers. Speakers include Lee Davies, Global Head of Investigations at Amazon, and Mike White, the former guarding man now of the regulator the Security Industry Authority, alongside an ‘Associations Panel’ and a session from CEO of training company Nuology, Claire Humble (featured in the April edition of Professional Security Magazine) on building career pathways for officers.
A 90 minute session with the S12 Security Guarding Leadership Group (Peter Harrison, Keith Middleton, Gemma Newman and Glen Tonkyn) will headline the afternoon, examining the group’s workstreams on Mandatory Business Licensing, labour exploitation, Martyn’s Law, data sharing and engagement with customers and non-ACS providers.
The event is free to attend, with lunch and refreshments included, but advance registration is essential. Security providers, in-house teams, HR and risk managers, and frontline officers can register now via the IFPO LIVE 26 event page on the IFPO UK website. Visit https://ifpo.uk/ifpo-live-2026/.
