Atlas Security, a privately-owned business, reports an example of social value in action in work with Brookfield Properties and Launch Group to help long-term unemployed re-enter the workforce.
A female participant was offered a permanent security officer position at 99 Bishopsgate. Her commitment and professionalism during her placement impressed both Atlas Security and Brookfield Properties, which is delighted to see her join the team at one of Londonโs most prominent commercial buildings. A fortnight of classroom-based learning from Launch Group was followed by experience with suppliers across Brookfield Propertiesโ London portfolio, which includes 99 Bishopsgate. As one of Brookfield Properties key supply chain partners, Atlas Security did mentoring, guiding, and hiring.

A dozen were selected for the programme seven oreceived job offersโsome receiving multiple offers, including one candidate who was presented with three. The initiative focused on supporting people who have historically faced barriers to employment, such as older workers, those without formal education or UK work experience, and those simply struggling to get a foot in the door.

Atlas is now working with Brookfield Properties to plan for future intakes, with the next programme scheduled for later in 2025.
