Genetec, the Canadian developer of IP security management has announced Genetec Lifecycle Management (GLM). It’s new software offering support and services, available in two options: Genetec Assurance, which is free for all customers, and Genetec Advantage, a paid-for option.

Advantage includes troubleshooting, dedicated support resources that includes up to 40 hours of consulting a year, access to all software releases, and system health tools. With Advantage, customers also have access to cloud services such as the addition of up to 100 Stratocast camera connections, and up to 100 terabytes of Cloud Archives storage to expand their system into the cloud.

Michel Desgagne, Vice President of Operations at Genetec, said: “Our new support framework ensures that when customers invest in Genetec Security Center, they can count on a dedicated team of technical engineers to deliver quality support when they need it most. With Genetec Lifecycle Management, our customers will gain access to tools and resources to fully capitalise on their security investments. With Genetec Advantage, they will be able to unlock even greater services and benefits, to keep their organization at the forefront of our innovation and expertise.”

For those who opt not to purchase Advantage, Assurance offers an initial period of extra support and software updates to aid system deployment, the firm says. Throughout the lifetime of their product, customers with Assurance also have unlimited access to self-service tools and learning resources, and online technical assistance that is tracked through a support dashboard to keep their system running as purchased.
