Height-strip network camera

by Mark Rowe

VIVOTEK has launched a new height-strip network camera, the CC8130(HS). The product features 1-Megapixel video resolution at 30 frames per second, a 180 degree wide-angle lens and a height-strip housing design (only part is pictured), allowing the camera to deliver images for reliable facial recognition with no dead angles.

The plug-and-play design makes the CC8130(HS) installation it’s claimed simple and rapid. Combining low-profile and high-level features, the CC8130(HS) is suitable the Taiwanese firm says for discreet indoor applications, such as retail, banks, restaurants, small businesses and particularly in cashier areas.

Tim Su, Director, Marketing Division at VIVOTEK, said: “Capturing clear facial images is one of the most critical issues in surveillance. One solution is to mount the camera at eye-level, but this increases the risk of vandalism. VIVOTEK, the professional solution provider, is proud to release the CC8130(HS) with discreet eye-level mounting, allowing capture of clearer facial images than ceiling-mounted cameras, even when subjects wear hats or hoods. Additionally, the CC8130(HS) offers graduated and color-coded height measurements in both U.S. and Metric units to meet the needs of users all over the world.”

To reduce file sizes and conserve network bandwidth, the CC8130(HS) supports the industry-standard H.264 compression. With the ST7501 multi-lingual 32-channel recording software, users can set up an IP surveillance system. Visit www.vivotek.com.
