by Mark Rowe

Abloy UK now offers a Glass Door Lock Selection Guide, for specifiers choosing a lock for glass doors.

According to Abloy, with multiple solutions to solve a number of different applications, it can often be hard to find the right product. Hence the multi-national has provided locking ideas for what it considers to be the most common scenarios. These include three types of glass door, and between three and five solutions for each one. Recommended products in the guide include effeff Electric Strikes and Strike Locks. The guide features diagrams and product images, with a brief explanation of the recommended solution, its function and advantages, and also product information.

The guide is available to view online on the Abloy and effeff websites, and can be downloaded as a PDF, or printed to create a hard copy.

Steve Martin, eff-eff Sales and Product Manager for Abloy UK, said: “Selecting the correct solution for electric locking of glass doors can be a bit of a minefield. That’s why we created the guide to try and remove any confusion, and to make the specifier aware of the options that are available to them to ensure that the correct lock is always used.”
