Security Channel

by Msecadm4921

Honeywell has launched The Security Channel. It’s decribed as a website featuring videos that showcase security technologies, introduce viewers to US industry personalities and examine security projects.

The Security Channelโ€™s inaugural programming lineup includes a look at a digital video surveillance application at Washingtonโ€™s RFK Stadium, part of a series of video case studies that show the application of video surveillance, access control, visitor management and residential intrusion systems. Other features include a profile of ADS Security president Mel Mahler and an interview with Delaware State University police chief James Overton.

Also, visitors can embed the videos on their own websites, download video podcasts and sign up for an RSS feed that sends updates on new videos. Viewers also will soon be able to submit their own videos for inclusion on The Security Channel. The site will be continuously updated with new video content, as well as user-friendly features.

โ€œNothing brings a story to life like a good video,โ€ said Kevin Oโ€™Connor, vice president of global sales for Honeywell Security. โ€œThe Security Channel will explore security in all of its many aspects. We want to use this powerful medium in a way that will truly engage the viewers and help them share real-life experiences, learn about new technologies and even be entertained.โ€
