Service Engineer – Security Systems

London & SE, possibly some EU travel

Enterprise level, international Security Integrator looking to add experienced Service Engineers to their team. 

We are looking for people with an excellent attitude and proven ability to deliver a best in class service in these critical roles. Our client already has a very strong and highly professional team of Engineers, this is a role for proven professionals who take pride in their technical expertise and customer engagement. 

Package

  • Salary negotiable DOE and capability – will pay above market rates for exceptional candidates
  • Call out, 1 in 5/6
  • Travel time after 1 hour each way, paid at x1.5
  • Enterprise level training 

Candidate Profile & Core Requirements

  • Experience:

    • Must have worked in a service engineering role on large scale IP security systems. 
    • Able to work alone in an extremely competent and professional manor. 
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Proven ability to manage reactive service calls and demonstrate exceptional fault-finding skills on enterprise-level security systems.
    • Hands-on experience with at least one of, Genetec, C.Cure, or Lenel access control platforms.
    • Strong proficiency with at least one major video platform: Axis, Genetec, Avigilon, Bosch, or Milestone.
    • Solid networking skills are essential.
  • Maintenance Excellence: Skilled in delivering comprehensive maintenance visits with attention to detail and compliance.
  • Customer Focus: Must have a genuine passion for customer service, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Adaptability & Mobility:

    • Comfortable working across London, with flexibility to travel across the UK and occasionally abroad.
    • Confident operating in large-scale environments, including corporate offices, data centres, and satellite sites.
  • Mindset & Attributes:

    • Technically minded, proactive, and committed to continuous learning of new technologies.
    • Strong team player with the ability to mentor junior engineers when required.
    • Thrives in a service-focused role—this is not for someone “looking to try service,” but for those who excel in it and love fixing things.
