- Liaise with clients, site teams, suppliers and colleagues to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Promote safe working practices, quality workmanship and high standards of customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive practical experience with fire alarm systems in installation and project environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of complex addressable fire alarm systems, including multi-panel and networked configurations.
- Confidence with system programming, configuration, commissioning and advanced fault-finding.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and cause-and-effect requirements.
- A working knowledge of BS 5839-1:2025 and relevant industry standards.
- Experience supporting complex installations and resolving technical issues that require a structured, methodical approach.
- Relevant FIA training, manufacturer accreditation or equivalent practical expertise.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to provide technical support to engineers and project teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, quality and project delivery.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Desirable experience
- GENT fire alarm systems, particularly commissioning, programming and advanced fault-finding.
- Fire alarm design knowledge or experience supporting system design and technical specifications.
- Experience in healthcare, custodial, defence or other critical environments.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or specialist manufacturer training.
- Experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical point of contact on complex projects.
What’s on Offer?
- A salary in the region of £50,000–£55,000, depending on experience and the final role structure.
- A technically challenging position with involvement in complex fire system installations and projects.
- The opportunity to provide technical input and support across project teams.
- A competitive benefits package, with vehicle provision, travel arrangements and additional benefits to be confirmed.
- Potential overtime opportunities on larger projects, subject to management approval.
