Director of Business Development
Location: Los Angeles, CA (office-based; Fort Lauderdale, FL considered)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: $140,000–$170,000 base + commission + benefits
The Company: A well-established national security guard services provider, headquartered in Los Angeles with offices across the US. The business is growing and moving into new markets, including Latin America.
The Role: You’ll lead business development for the company and take ownership of new revenue. You’ll manage and drive an existing team of sales reps while winning major accounts yourself. This is a senior, office-based role for someone who knows the guarding market and who to go after.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver the new business strategy for guarding and security officer services
- Lead, coach and set targets for a team of 2–3 sales representatives
- Win new commercial, corporate and property accounts and grow existing ones
- Manage RFPs, pricing and contract negotiations with operations
- Open new markets and support expansion into Latin America
- Report pipeline and forecasts to the executive team
Requirements
- 8–10+ years’ B2B sales in contract security, guarding or a closely related service industry
- Proven experience leading and developing a sales team
- An established network of clients and decision-makers in the security services market
- Strong record of winning and closing multi-site service contracts
- Able to work from the Los Angeles office (or Fort Lauderdale for the right person)
- Spanish or Latin American market experience a plus
