Role: Fire and Security Engineer
Location: North London
Salary: Up to £40,000 + £2k on security clearance + Company Car

Technical Resources is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer in North London, St. Albans area ideally. This role is critical in providing high-quality maintenance, installation, and support services for our wide range of security solutions, including access control systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and fire alarm systems, preferably with GENT system experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance of these systems, contributing to our commitment to delivering world-class customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to maintenance calls as directed, aiming to rectify all faults on the first visit where possible.
  • Execute a rolling program of preventative maintenance visits and collect/record site configuration information.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all tasks and services provided.
  • Provide out-of-hours cover on a rotating basis to ensure 24/7 support for our customers.
  • Commission small projects as required and ensure audits of quality procedures are conducted.
  • Deliver training to customers and colleagues on our systems and services.
  • Undertake additional tasks as required to support the team and meet company objectives.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience in installing and servicing access control systems, CCTV systems, intruder alarm systems, and ideally, GENT-based fire alarm systems.
  • An IT qualification and/or Electrical/Electronic qualification is highly desirable.
  • A broad technical IT knowledge, including the installation of various Windows Operating Systems and understanding of networking principles.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical principles, such as measuring voltage and current drain.
