Project Manager – Fire & Security Systems

Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire (commutable distance required)
Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
Vehicle Allowance: £4,800 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00
Working Pattern: Hybrid working available

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established business operating within the fire and security sector, and they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and technically knowledgeable Project Manager to take ownership of fire and security installation projects from initial planning through to successful completion.

The role will involve a combination of project management, customer liaison and site-based activity, with regular travel required across a portfolio of customer sites. A hybrid working arrangement is available to support the requirements of the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of fire and security installation projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Manage projects involving Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Door Entry Systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee installation teams, subcontractors and other project resources.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within agreed budgets and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant industry regulations, standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and key milestones.
  • Carry out regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety and overall project delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks and issues at an early stage and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide clear communication and regular updates to customers, internal teams and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed to a high standard, with customer satisfaction remaining a key priority.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate a strong track record within the fire and security industry.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience managing projects within the fire and security sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems, including installation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing projects involving systems such as fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and/or door entry.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • The ability to manage budgets, resources, timescales and project milestones effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work directly with customers and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with strong problem-solving and risk-management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to customer sites as required.
