Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems across commercial and residential sites. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
โขInstall, commission, and maintain fire detection and security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms)
โข Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
โข Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance
โข Ensure compliance with relevant standards (BS5839, BS EN50131, etc.)
โข Complete accurate documentation and reports for each job
โข Liaise with clients to provide updates and technical support
โข Participate in on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs
โข Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition
Requirements
โขย Proven experience in fire and security systems engineering
โข Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
โข Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
โข Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
โข Full UK driving licence
โข Relevant qualifications (e.g., FIA, NSI, City & Guilds) desirable
โข CSCS/ECS card preferred
