Tenth Charity Fraud Awareness Week

by Mark Rowe

The 2025 Charity Fraud Awareness Week will run from Monday to Friday, December 8 to 12, says the Fraud Advisory Panel, itself a charity.

Now in its tenth year, the week is a campaign by charities, NGOs, industry figures, regulators, representatives, umbrella bodies, and other not-for-profits. Their aim is to share best practices and protect charities and NGOs from fraud. Charities can take part in the fifth Charity Fraud Annual Survey, with the accountancy firm BDO, which closes on Friday, October 3. The survey will be published to coincide with the week opening on December 8. Events will take place in London on 8 December, and Glasgow and Belfast on 11 December. Webinars and free events will be announced shortly.
Matthew Field, Head of the Fraud Advisory Panel said: “Since growing year on year, in 2025 we will be hosting events across three cities, in London, Glasgow, and Belfast. The fifth Charity Fraud Annual Survey remains open, so we urge all charities to take the time to fill in the survey before it closes on Friday 3 October.”
