A deadline for responses to the 2013 Approved Contractor Scheme Review has been extended by the Security Industry Authority until 7 June. The SIA would encourage all Approved Contractors, security suppliers and security buyers to participate in the review.
According to the regulator, this review is about how the voluntary ACS should develop alongside the new regulatory regime as proposed by the Coalition Government.
Full details of SIA proposals can be viewed here: www.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk/Pages/future-factsheet.aspx

ACS Assistant Director Andrew Shephard said: “We have received a positive number of responses to date; however, we can never have too much feedback. The feedback will help us to build an accurate understanding of how the private security industry sees the development of voluntary ACS alongside the new regulatory regime.”
