Cable Boxes

by msecadm4921

Product firm Fusion say that their Cat 5e and Cat 6 cable boxes have been subjected to scrutiny to ensure that every aspect of their use has been considered, from rough handling to snag-free delivery of the cable inside.

In the real world, boxes have to cope with being loaded in and out of a van, moved around on trolleys and stacked on top of each other. In these conditions, handles can fail and boxes can collapse – resulting in inconvenience and loss of time for an installer.

Fusion say their boxes are designed to take this treatment in their stride with their anti-tear construction and reinforced plastic handles. Fusion cable is metre marked and features integral rollers to prevent cable kinks and provide smooth cable delivery and easy stripping.

The cable is available with grey, red, yellow, blue and green jackets and the range also includes FTP, LSOH, Stranded and External cable to suit application.

Fusion Cat 6 4 pair UTP LSOH Orange cable is supplied in special integral reel boxes and meets or exceeds the latest ISO and TIA requirements. The cable supports 100BASE-T4/TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, ATM155/822 Mbps ISDN and is suitable it is claimed for use as the horizontal cabling between the cross connect and the data outlet, or between the main distribution frames.

In addition to a range of Cat 5E and Cat 6 cables, Fusion adds that it offers everything needed for an ‘end-to-end’ installation solution with the benefit of a 25 year warranty.

At its development stage, the company adds that it spent two years researching the needs and difficulties experienced by installers using existing cabling systems.

Fusion products are available through distributors Mills Ltd and Nimans in the UK and Dafnia Electronics in the Middle East.
