The RNLI?s new Scottish Divisional Base and Fundraising Office in Perth has had CCTV installed.
The RNLI?s new Scottish Divisional Base and Fundraising Office in Perth has benefited from a CCTV installation by local company Scottish Communication Systems, reports Paul Gibson, managing director of Perth-based SCS. The new RNLI base on the Inveralmond Industrial Estate has been in operation for six months. But security problems during building spurred the RNLI to look at installing a surveillance system.
Scottish Communication Systems (SCS) came up with a solution involving the installation of two fixed and two 360 degrees rotating cameras, providing round the clock surveillance. RNLI divisional general manager, Bill Horne, said: “The system is working well and since its installation we?ve had no problems. The fact that we are totally funded by voluntary contribution means that we must take all reasonable steps to ensure that this hard sought for money does not have to be spent on preventable damage or theft.”
