Manufacturer Ultrak has expanded its range of UltraDome cameras with the release of a new KD6 model, capable of operating in extreme environmental conditions. Designed to maintain a 5 PSI dry nitrogen internal atmosphere for both integrated camera and mechanism, the nine inch KD6-NP Nitrogen Pressurised dome uses two independent ?O?-rings, to provide a secure seal for its top and bottom housing. With a thermostatically controlled 24VAC heater and blower, fitted as standard, the stable operating environment provided for the camera, zoom lens and drive mechanism, protects the device against rain, snow, smog, salty air, humidity and other corrosive elements. Maximising surveillance performance, the KD6-NP?s standard features include 360 degree continuous rotation, variable pan speed up to 400 degrees a second, 100 programmable pre-shots, 10 programmable guard tours, a 24 character OSD and 4 on-board alarm inputs. Completing the specification, an integrated 460TV line resolution, 1.7 lux SuperHAD CCD colour camera with 18x optical / 12x digital zoom lens, has an automatic colour / mono switching camera option, suitable for low light surveillance applications down to 0.015 lux. The KD6-NP dome is available with pendant, wall, and roof mounts, and with a choice of clear or smoked finish lower dome. All KD6 series domes are compatible with Ultrak?s range of CCTV control equipment, and other manufacturers? equipment employing the Ultrak operating protocol.
