Event Firms Merge

by Msecadm4921

Show and Event Security Limited and AP Security Consultants are to merge in January 2002.

Show and Event Security Limited and AP Security Consultants are to merge in January 2002. The companies will keep their brand names for the leisure, training and manned guarding functions of the group. The new parent company will be called APGroup Limited. Companies under the banner will be the leisure security wing, Show & Event Security which will be the trading name for the leisure security company, the training wing, AP Training Consultants, will retain its name as will the ISI Approved manned guarding company, AP Guards. The forecast turnover in 2002 for the APGroup is œ7.5m. Kevin Lawrence, Operations Director of the former AP Security Consultants, says: ?We are delighted to announce the merger of our two companies. Not only will it enable us to offer our clients a more expansive service in terms of the size of the company, now with offices in London, Leeds, Swansea and Birmingham but it also enables us to take the best elements of both companies and combine them into what we intend it to become, the ultimate security service provider.”

Tony Ball, Director of Show & Event Security, says: ?Our companies have long worked together on events, particularly on the festival circuit, and we have always had a mutual respect for the way in which each other works. This merger will further develop the very best service for our clients, and makes us an extremely strong player in the UK Leisure Security market. It will take some time for the two companies to dovetail into one with such things as livery, operating procedures, administrative/accounting procedures and even office space but we believe it is the way forward for ourselves and our clients.?
