Met Hospitality List

On July 1, the Bribery Act comes into effect officially. It sets out how to avoid bribes – and what to do if you are offered a bribe.

On the link below are Metropolitan Police freedom of information requests, including ‘Commissionerโ€™s Private Office Gifts and Hospitality Register January – March 2011’ and ‘Barnet Register of Gifts and Hospitality 2010’. The latter includes such things as boxes of chocolates, biscuits and fruit; flowers; and ‘two pairs of tights’. <br><br>The commissioner’s list of dinners accepted makes the point that invitations to dinners and receptions are accepted where there is a ‘valid working reason’ to do so.
