ClearView communications have introduced the VMG400 series of Video Mask Generators to their range of video processing and de-multiplexing products. They allow selected individuals or parts of a scene to be hidden using an adjustable size mask. The size and position of the mask is controlled by a mouse. Where an individual needs to be highlighted within a crowd, the mask may be changed to a ?window? which hides the rest of the screen. The system can also generate boxes, arrows, frames and cross-hairs. A single and four-mask version is available. They are suitable for use by police, town centre operators, football clubs, councils, courts – indeed any organisation needing to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
