Wireless Access

by msecadm4921

Visitors to the Mul-T-Lock demonstration area of the ASSA ABLOY stand at IFSEC 09 will be able to see the new Smartair Standalone. It’s a wireless door management system providing a secure all-in-one access solution which the makers say reduces the cost and disruption associated with wiring a traditional access control system.

Smartair Standalone is part of the ASSA ABLOY Smartair product range but exclusive to subsidiary Mul-T-Lock.

The Smartair Standalone wirefree RFID door management system is suitable it is claimed for SMEs.

Smartair Standalone’s intelligent door management system offers many of the benefits associated with high-end access control products, it is claimed.

The slim Standalone unit is battery operated to eliminate the need for what the makers call an expensive wired installation and does not require software to set-up and administer. It operates with a traditional mechanical door lock and can thus be fitted to many existing door locks.

It offers keyless access with audit capabilities on both internal and external doors.

Notes

Mul-T-Lock (UK) is a supplier of high security locks and access control systems throughout the UK and Ireland. The company is a trading division of ASSA ABLOY Ltd, part of the ASSA ABLOY Group.
