Kings Secure Technologies (KST) has opened an accredited training centre at its technology monitoring facility, K-SOC, in the West Midlands. Designed to serve as a cornerstone of the the security firm’s infrastructure, this facility caters to newcomers seeking training in public space surveillance, and seasoned professionals striving to advance their expertise, the Bradford-based firm says. The firm says that the centre will play a pivotal role in supporting the Groupโs learning and development programme, steered by Cassie Flanagan, KSTโs Head of L&D.
The training centre will be led by Ricky OโSullivan, K-SOC Training Manager, an accredited instructor with the exam awarding body Highfields, who brings over ten years of experience in the security industry. The curriculum has been designed to blend theoretical knowledge with practical applications, so participants gain an understanding of surveillance techniques, the company says.
Ricky OโSullivan said: โAt K-SOC, we are committed to empowering individuals with the skills they need to make a meaningful impact on public safety. Our new training centre represents a significant step forward in enhancing security standards through education. Iโm thrilled to bring my experience to this venture and look forward to welcoming participants who share our dedication to safeguarding public spaces.โ
The former alarm receiving station Cougar Monitoring was re-branded by Kings last year as K-SOC.
