Leeds event

by Mark Rowe

KnowBe4, a cyber awareness and security platform for addressing human risk management, will host its annual CyberSecure Leeds event on Wednesday, September 24. It’s part of Leeds Digital Festival 2025. “When AI Strikes, Humans Defend” will focus on the rise of AI-driven cyber threats and how organisations can stay protected by prioritising what matters most: their people.

As AI-enabled attacks grow in scale and sophistication, technology alone is no longer enough, the firm argues. CyberSecure Leeds 2025 will showcase live demonstrations and provide guidance on how organisations can use data-driven insights to strengthen security culture, reduce human risk and empower employees as a vital first line of defence. Sessions and discussions will include:

“From Office to Anywhere: How to Build a Secure Culture, No Matter the Environment” chaired by Javvad Malik, Lead CISO Advisor at KnowBe4; and

“Top 5 Threats Your Business Needs to be Aware of Right Now, and Defence Strategies” featuring Ant Davis (host of The Awareness Angle podcast), Jack Chapman (SVP of Threat Intelligence, KnowBe4) and James Dyer (Threat Intelligence Lead, KnowBe4).

Other sessions will explore which industries are most vulnerable to AI-driven threats, with practical steps for building resilience at scale; and how security awareness training (SAT) with human risk management (HRM) analytics can cut risk and reduce an organisation’s Phish-Prone Percentage (PPP).

Javvad Malik says: “AI continues to dramatically and rapidly transform the cyber threat landscape, making phishing, deepfakes and other social engineering attacks more convincing than ever before. Technology alone cannot keep pace with these threats. Building resilience means supporting employees to recognise and respond more effectively to advanced threats.”
