Tavcom available in Australia

by Mark Rowe

Tavcom’s security system training courses are now available to security people in Australia.

A new purpose built training centre in Granville, Sydney, is providing installers, operators, managers and designers of electronic security systems with a range of Tavcom accredited training courses which cover subjects including CCTV, IP and networks, control room, intruder, electro-technical and access control products and technologies.

Lee Evans, pictured, is a director and co-owner of the training centre. He said:
“As is the case with the Tavcom training centre in the UK, our facilities in Granville include fully equipped workshops to provide students with the opportunity to put theory into practice. As well as the courses which are listed on the www.tavcomtraining.com.au website, our hand-picked tutors are able to conduct any of the other courses in the Tavcom prospectus on a needs basis, such as the Advanced Control Room Management courses which we recently conducted for personnel at Sydney Airport.”

Besides traditional classroom courses, fully interactive web-based e-learning courses are available for students in Australia who prefer to learn in their own time. There is also an easy to complete online method of analysing an individual’s training needs.

Mike Tennent, Managing Director of Tavcom, said: “We are delighted that our reputation for being ‘experts in technology’ is being enhanced on the other side of the World with the help of Lee Evans and his colleagues. The establishment of the training centre in Australia quickly follows on from the opening of a training facility in Ireland and is part of an ongoing programme to share our knowledge via an international network of accredited training centres.”
