by Mark Rowe

Coltraco Ultrasonics has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, to mark the World War One armistice centenary. It reads: “We, Coltraco Ultrasonics, commit to honour the Armed Forces Covenant and support the Armed Forces Community. We recognise the value Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.”

The Covenant aims to support serving personnel, veterans and military families. The Armed ForcesCovenant is a promise by supporting companies and personnel, ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly. So far, over 1,500 businesses have signed the covenant.

Co-founder and current CEO, Dr Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter is a former Greenjacket officer in the British Army. EC Hunter and Dr Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter co-founded the company when Carl left the military. Now a third generation of the Hunter family work for Coltraco. Meanwhile the third generation of the Hunter family enters the Armed Forces, with former Technical Sales Manager, Henry Hunter leaving Coltraco in 2017 to join the Royal Marines.
