Camera range

The new IDIS Lite Series includes IP67 and IK10-rated NDAA-compliant cameras: turrets, domes, and bullets, for small to mid-size applications, the South Korean makers IDIS report. The range of 2MP and 5MP cameras come with lenses that enable identification from the centre to the edge of every scene, according to the firm. These cameras have a three-axis design for pan, tilt, and horizontal adjustment and come with a choice of brackets and mounts. They offer extended ONVIF compatibility.

The company adds that the cameras give compatibility with IDIS recording products, of four- to 64-channel network video recorders (NVRs). The dome, turret, and bullet models have IP66/67 ratings, support SD card recording and playback, aluminium casings, and vandal-proof glass, for HD image capture even in harsh settings, according to the manufacturer. The cameras use Sony Starvis CMOS image sensors for high-definition monitoring and recording. To ensure image capture in darkness, IR (infra-red) lighting is automatically focused to ensure that the field of view is consistently lit, at up to 30 metres. With wide dynamic range (WDR) and an automatic iris, the makers say that they have resolved the exposure issues caused by uneven lighting, with optimised image contrast revealing previously hidden details.

The dome cameras feature a patented IDIS design that eliminates IR reflection without bubbles, while the 5MP IR turret cameras come with a flat face with fixed and varifocal lens options (DC-D2511WER and DC-D2531WER), for day and night images.

Alex Lee, IDIS MEA and Asia Senior Sales Manager, said: “For customers who need to watch over smaller and mid-size locations and for security, facilities and loss prevention managers working in price-sensitive markets, the IDIS Lite Series offers exceptional value, high-performance monitoring and stable recording, with both outstanding ease of installation and ease of use. And like all IDIS end-to-end solutions, our IDIS Lite Series come with the assurance of South Korean manufacturing, local technical support, and assured forward and backward product compatibility, giving customers the peace of mind of an industry-best low total cost of ownership.”
