Cloud-based storage

The Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) company Ocucon – has appointed Brand Elverston, former Director of Asset Protection Strategic Initiatives at Walmart, as a consultant. Ocucon offers a cloud-based storage and retrieval platform, combining data analytics with the facility to store, analyse and retrieve unlimited amounts of HD video surveillance footage from within the portal.

The UK North East-based firm also recently launched Ocucon Pixelate. Developed with Google, the new product harnesses AI and machine learning to deliver what the developers call an intelligent video redaction tool that can be used with all forms of camera footage.

Founder of Elverston, LLC, Brand brings experience in retail not only in loss prevention and asset protection, but also aiding the overall customer shopping experience. He will be responsible for Ocucon’s business development and growth, offering strategic advice and assisting in the development and delivery of Ocucon’s new services.

Ocucon will be among the exhibitors at the NRF (National Retail Federation) Protect 2018 Loss Prevention Conference and EXPO, where Brand will make his debut with the company. Ocucon will be joining the IT service management company, Telaid at the event from June 11 to 13 in Dallas, Texas.
