The video surveillance product manufacturer IDIS now offers a range of explosion-proof ATEX, UL, and IP68-rated cameras, for use in risk-critical applications.
The range includes explosion proof versions of IDIS’s 12MP and 5MP fisheyes delivering wide-area coverage without blind spots; quad high definition 5MP mini-dome cameras with infra-red night vision giving coverage of up to 30m, a 2MP 36-times zoom explosion proof fixed bullet camera delivering colour images in darkness of up to 000.1 lux, plus a 36-times zoom pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera with an endless 360 degree pan rotation and a 90 degree to 90 degree tilt rotation range. The cameras also come with wide dynamic range (WDR) for image capture, even in challenging and variable lighting; IDIS’ plug-and-play DirectIP technology and PoE for minimising installation time; and extended warranties.
All cameras in the range come with electro-polished stainless-steel enclosures, for coping with harsh conditions, including extreme temperatures, varying humidity, dust, and moisture.
Designed for plug-and-play mounting in challenging and hazardous locations where traditional cameras can’t be used, the cameras offer compliance with safety standards such as ATEX and UL required for hazardous settings including oil refineries, drilling sites, chemical plants and storage areas, pharmaceutical production, water treatment facilities, and food processing involving explosive dust hazards.
Harry Kwon, Asia and MEA Business Development Director at IDIS, pictured, said: “IDIS has recently built a track record supplying video technology for refineries, drill wells, and petrochemical sites in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as a range of manufacturing facilities worldwide. The new full line-up of explosion-proof cameras builds on IDIS’s expertise as a single-source video vendor by offering end-to-end solutions to overcome common security, safety, and operational challenges in a range of industrial and manufacturing sectors.”
