Megapixel analogue range

by Mark Rowe

The distributor XENO has launched its 1.3 Megapixel analogue camera range. Building on the XENO range of bullet and eyeball cameras, these offer the brand’s highest analogue image resolution to date.

The integrated Sony 1.3 Megapixel sensor, with a 2 Megapixel lens, provides up to 15 per cent image quality improvement, according to the makers. The cameras also continue to work with existing DVRs ensuring support for whatever analogue system already installed. Bullet or eyeball style cameras are available. Each model comes with a 2.8 -12mm lens and integrated IR ensuring images at up to 40m away in complete darkness. Privacy zones and motion detection come as standard, for delivering simple video analytics features. Each product includes a pre-wired 850mm cable, long enough to feed through brackets, ceilings and wall cavities.

All-in-one designs are according to the manufacturers suitable for retail, office and education environments that are looking for externally rated cameras that provide images during the day, and at night when no ambient lighting is available.

Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director, says: “This new range of analogue cameras offers an excellent option for those installations where budgets are tight, but quality can’t be compromised. As with all XENO products, it offers a low cost, but highly reliable solution for those projects that don’t require a huge feature set.”
