Assist Security Group (ASG) has appointed Jim McFedries as Chief Business Development Officer. The firm says that McFedries, pictured, will work on ASG’s client portfolio across key sectors including retail, healthcare, and property management.
McFedries brings over three decades of security industry expertise to ASG, with experience in corporate security leadership and commercial security services. Troy Hewitt, CEO of ASG, said: “His extensive experience in both corporate security and commercial security services gives him a unique perspective on client needs. Jim’s proven track record in developing strong client relationships and his deep industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to grow.”
The security contractor says that McFedries will focus on raising ASG’s industry profile, developing the company’s product and service offerings, and expanding its client base with a collaborative approach focused on delivering cost-effective, risk-based security. McFedries was five years at Argenbright Security Europe Limited (ASEL), where he held several leadership positions, including Group Operations Director, before taking on the role of Sales and Accounts Director.
He has a retail security background, having spent 11 years as Head of Profit Protection and Security at Scotmid Co-operative, where he was responsible for the Scottish retailer’s security and loss prevention. Earlier he held various regional security and loss prevention roles in retail. In his time at Scotmid Co-op he chaired the loss prevention data sharing group Retailers Against Crime (RAC).
