New from Hanwha Vision is the Audio Beacon, SPS-A100M. The manufacturer describes it as an AI-powered audio surveillance solution whereby users can be alerted and respond to critical situations. With a 90 decible (dB) speaker, five integrated microphones, and intelligent sound classification, the beacon is for situational awareness and real-time communication, the makers say, in schools, offices and hospitals; or restricted areas where cameras may not be an option. The product gives alerts and full-duplex two-way audio.
As well as acting as a deterrent, the LED ring provides a visible confirmation that an alert has been triggered. The product comes with AI-based sound classification. It can specific pre-defined sounds – such as screams or breaking glass – using deep-learning AI. Direction-finding algorithms support users to detect the direction of events.
A speaker and noise-reducing microphone system enables communication even in loud setting, the makers add. Whether used to broadcast warnings, speak to intruders, or respond during emergencies, the SPS-A100M adds an interactive layer to security infrastructure, the manufacturer says.
LED ring
The LED ring offers visibility of alerts in any lighting condition. The feature has customisable colours and patterns to signal types of events.The beacon supports integration with video management software (VMS) platforms such as Genetec, Milestone Systems, and Wisenet WAVE, and communicates across smart building systems using the MQTT protocol. It supports Boolean event logic and delivers alerts via FTP, email, HTTP/S, and more. As for data protection, the device has FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification, secure boot, encrypted firmware, and a tamper-detection switch.
