Service Supervisor – Service Operations
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Salary: £40,000–£43,000 + Door-to-Door + Supervisor Incentive Scheme
OTE: £60,000+ with overtime
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Service Supervisor to join an established and highly regarded fire and security systems business, working on a static site in Canary Wharf, London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer, Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop their supervisory responsibilities.
The role combines hands-on technical engineering with team leadership, technical support and day-to-day coordination. You will work closely with the Field Line Manager, supporting a team of engineers and helping to ensure service delivery is completed safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
We’re particularly interested in engineers with strong technical experience who have already had some exposure to supervising or leading others. ETS3 experience would be highly advantageous and is particularly sought after.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Field Line Manager with the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the engineering team.

Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, both on site and over the phone.

Remain hands-on with engineering activities, including fault finding, troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.

Plan and coordinate engineering works, ensuring resources, materials and personnel are effectively organised.

Monitor service delivery against agreed KPIs, customer requirements and company standards.

Act as an effective link between the site-based engineering team and management.

Mentor and support engineers, helping to develop technical capability and best working practices.

Assist with the induction and training of new engineers.

Lead by example, promoting high standards of workmanship, customer service and professionalism.

Carry out regular health and safety checks and support the implementation of corrective actions where required.

Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, efficiency and service delivery.

Maintain strong working relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.

Ensure all engineering activities are completed safely, professionally and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is technically strong and ready to take the next step into supervision.
You may currently be working as a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Service Engineer or similar, with some previous experience of guiding or supervising engineers.
You’ll ideally have:

Strong experience within the Fire & Security systems industry.

A solid electrical engineering background.

Experience working with fire alarm systems and associated technologies.

Experience with systems such as Notifier, Advanced, Gent and Edwards EST.

ETS3 experience would be a significant advantage.

Previous supervisory, team-leading or mentoring experience.

FIA or equivalent industry qualifications.

IOSH or SSSTS qualification.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A professional approach with excellent customer service skills.

Good understanding of service delivery, contracts and commercial requirements.

The ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.

A full UK driving licence.
-
The ability to successfully complete the required security vetting.
