Security Systems Service Engineer | Field-Based (On the Road) | £32,000 – £34,000 per year | Full-Time (Includes On-Call Rota)
This role involves carrying out routine maintenance, servicing, fault-finding and support across a range of security systems including Intruder Alarms, BS8418 VSS (CCTV), and Access Control.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of monitored systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality service to clients across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out service and maintenance on:
- Monitored Intruder Alarm Systems
- BS8418 CCTV Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system faults effectively.
- Complete all service, maintenance and fault-finding documentation accurately.
- Participate confidently in the On-Call Engineer Rota.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Ensure work is carried out in line with industry standards and company procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in servicing and maintaining security systems.
Strong knowledge and experience with:
- Texecom Intruder Alarm Systems
- Texecom Cloud remote support platform
- Hikvision IP CCTV Systems
- Paxton Access Control Systems
- Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing system issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professional communication with clients and the team.
- Full UK Driving Licence (required).
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
