March 2025 edition

by Mark Rowe

Now on desks in physical form and in email in-boxes in digital form is the March 2025 edition of Professional Security Magazine, our digest of all you need to know about the private security sector of the British Isles.

In the latest in our series from around the UK about business crime reduction partnerships (BCRP), we feature Exeter – the Devon county town’s BCRP manager, the council CCTV control room he’s based in, the city centre police inspector, and the guarding of the pre-Christmas market outside Exeter Cathedral, pictured, after we featured the city centre community safety patrollers in our February edition. Talking of CCTV, we also bring you a couple of control rooms, from central London and a Midlands housing association.

We also bring you an exhibitor from the first of our Security TWENTY shows, ST Belfast, that ran in early February; the latest about close protection; red teaming; personal safety case studies from retail and a London hospital; and media safety, when journalists seek the best pictures from dangerous places such as conflict zones.

Also regulars such as a page of book reviews, four pages about new products and services, particularly VMS (video management software) and four pages of ‘spending the budget’, besides MD Roy Cooper’s page of gossip about and for installers, manufacturers and distributors of security products.
