Airport IP

by msecadm4921

The new Galerie Parisienne terminal extension at Charles de Gaulle airport near Paris has an IP CCTV transmission system.

As part of a huge project Controlware Communications was selected to supply video codecs that enable video from analogue cameras to be streamed over IP networks. Controlware has assisted Aéroports de Paris with the evolution and expansion of their surveillance network and has supplied codecs that to date support a total of 5461 cameras. The IP CCTV covers airside and passenger areas including: luggage sorting, check in desks, access to restricted areas, ATM cash machines, car parks and perimeter monitoring applications. The IP CCTV enables Aéroports de Paris to monitor, record and manage video from thousands of analogue cameras at any point on their network and to operate a crisis centre, in case of emergencies. Some 150 four-port video codec’s were deployed connected to 600 cameras. Each codec enables live viewing of video at 25 f/s 4CIF and 12 f/s 4CIF for recording.
