The Site Sentinel TXO from Teleprecision allows a CCTV system upgrade to remote monitoring. The Site Sentinel TXO plugs into the digital video recorder (DVR) within a CCTV system, enabling it to send images from up to 16 cameras to a remote monitoring station.
This the makers say increases the effectiveness of CCTV systems for little extra cost.
Jon Martin, Chief Technical Officer at Teleprecision says: "The Site Sentinel TXO is BS 8418 compliant, providing the user with a cable broadband connection and 3G mobile network as back-up. Remote CCTV monitoring means any site incidents are immediately verified as genuine by CCTV operators before a police or emergency service call out is requested. The operators can also ask intruders to leave a site via speaker, without involving the police, or request a mobile patrol service site visit instead."
