Manufacturer Silent Witness have released the new single-channel DVMS 100S Satellite and enhanced four-channel DVMS 400 Digital Video Management Systems (DVMS).

Silent Witness have released the new single-channel DVMS 100S Satellite and enhanced four-channel DVMS 400 Digital Video Management Systems (DVMS). The DVMS 100S is a simplified digital recorder that can be easily integrated into any system, the CCTV manufacturer reports. The newly enhanced DVMS 400 is an advanced digital recorder now equipped with IDE hard drives which increases its storage options and reduces its cost while assuring customers the same performance. The DVMS 100S Satellite is an ideal analog VCR replacement product that is compatible with most multiplexers and quad splitters. Its economical design and robust functionality makes it suitable for those customers, such as retailers, who want to move from analog to digital technology. Rick Bieniak, Director of Advanced Technology for Silent Witness says: ?The DVMS 100S is an excellent product that allows for an easy upgrade to digital recording – it leverages customers’ current investment in multiplexers, quads and monitors. The DVMS 400 is designed to replace both a VCR and multiplexer. This system combines the functionality of a four-channel multiplexer with the recording capabilities of a high-resolution digital recorder. This model addresses the same applications as the current DVMS 400 – small retail, convenience stores, gas stations – and provides a more cost-effective storage option with the IDE hard drives. Both the DVMS 100S and 400 store real-time, high-resolution digital video on internal hard drives, and provide remote management tools and event reporting features that include motion detection, Point of Sale/ATM text monitoring, and alarms.
