OCS was the winner of the ‘Best Use of Technology’ category at the recent BSIA Regional Awards for its work at Gunwharf Quays’ shopping centre in Portsmouth.
OCS was judged to have shown outstanding achievement in the combination of manned guarding and technology, which is becoming increasingly important in the fight against crime.
The team
The 35 strong security team at the Gunwharf Quays’ Control Room is responsible for ensuring that the 33 acre shopping centre is a safe, trouble-free, enjoyable experience for the 25,000 people who visit every day.

Gunwharf Quays is part of the portfolio of shopping centres owned by Land Securities the UK Real Estate Investment Trust, with a commercial property portfolio worth more than £14 billion. OCS provides support services to these centres including security, cleaning, M&E and building fabric maintenance.
