SmartPly has launched SmartPly SiteProtect – a coated panel specifically for site hoarding and security applications.
SmartPly SiteProtect is a coated site hoarding panel, designed to save the makers say time and money. The SmartPly OSB3 substrate has been coated with a smooth heavy-duty exterior cross-linked polymer surface treatment, and was developed for use in a breadth of applications from temporary site hoarding through to security installations.
As SmartPly SiteProtect is pre-coated and has a smooth, durable finish, there is no need to prime, according to the makers. Where corporate colours are required, fewer coats of paint are needed, and logos can be applied directly to the SmartPly SiteProtect panel, providing the high performance demanded with reduced labour costs.
SmartPly SiteProtect, like all SmartPly’s products, is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. In keeping with current construction methods working towards healthier environments, SmartPly SiteProtect has been manufactured using zero-added formaldehyde, and the coating is ‘zero voc’ (volatile organic compounds). This means that it is inert and doesn’t emit any harmful compounds, making it ideal for internal and external applications.
This secure site barrier product was developed in cooperation with SmartPly customers. Neil Foot, managing director of SmartPly Europe Ltd. says: “SiteProtect is a natural extension to the product range and was developed in close cooperation with customers over the past 18 months. Site hoarding for all types of construction and temporary works is vital for safety and security and must be simple to erect, strong and durable; our research also revealed the importance of presenting a top quality image which is why we have made it smooth and easy to paint well. SmartPly SiteProtect is the smart, smooth, paintable, FSC certified answer.”
Initially offered in 2440mm x 1220mm x 18mm panels, SmartPly SiteProtect is available from stockists for both internal and external applications. Full product information and technical details are on new SiteProtect pages –
