Skills sponsor

by Mark Rowe

Skills for Security, the UK provider of fire and security apprenticeship training, has welcomed EMCS as its newest platinum sponsor. EMCS is the Midlands-based Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Through this partnership, both aim to address the industry’s skills gap while creating more opportunities for young people to access training and careers.

Ed Barge, Managing Director of EMCS, says: “As the UK’s largest independent ARC, we’re proud to support Skills for Security. Partnering with an organisation so dedicated to developing the next generation of engineers through apprenticeship programmes is a fantastic opportunity for our sector. Supporting installers and their businesses is vital to ensure continued progress and innovation, and through this partnership, we can help bridge the skills gap, meet the growing demand for qualified professionals, and safeguard the future of our industry for years to come.”

EMCS will provide support to Skills for Security’s apprenticeship programmes, enabling an expanded reach.

David Scott, Managing Director of Skills for Security, pictured, said: “Partnerships like this continue to show the strength of our sector when businesses and training providers work together. EMCS’s backing will allow us to extend our reach, inspire more people to consider careers in fire and security and create meaningful pathways into the industry. This is about investing in the skills and innovation that will carry our profession forward.”
