New from the video surveillance product manufacturer VIVOTEK is the software service “Device Manager”. This all-in-one remote management service allows enterprises to manage thousands of network cameras, assign IP addresses, and update firmware remotely. That can reduce time and labour costs, the company adds. For instance, when a camera goes offline, the system sends a notification.
As the IP camera market is projected to grow, and businesses with large-scale security systems can simplify management processes, hence the firm has introduced a range of AI-powered network cameras, recorders and the VORTEX cloud security service, besides offering its software to enable security management for its clients.
The VIVOTEK Device Manager is available for free download on the company’s website and can be used by entering the IP address of a VIVOTEK camera. Features include batch deployment for setup whereby you can configure cameras, assign IPs, and update firmware so that the system is up-to-date. The Device Manager runs around the clock, and whenever an abnormal event is detected, such as a device going offline, a notification pops up, for users to respond. As for remote management for maintenance, you can monitor and adjust equipment without needing to be on-site. Devices can also be grouped for system maintenance.
VIVOTEK has partnered with Video Management System (VMS) platforms such as Genetec and Milestone to integrate its network cameras and provide more video analysis. Now, with the Device Manager, VIVOTEK has added to synergy with third-party VMS platforms, the firm says. Visit https://www.vivotek.com/device_manager.
