UK manufacturer of steel doors and physical security products Bradbury Group has added Liddle Doors to the Group. Bradbury Group and Liddle Doors have worked together in a joint venture for the last couple of years. Tim Strawson, Managing Director of Bradbury Group, says: “Liddle Doors is one of the most efficient installers of security infrastructure upgrades in the country and is widely regarded for their exceptionally high levels of project management, so I am delighted that they are joining the Group. We have worked with Liddle Doors successfully for several years now and there has always been a unique synergy between the two companies, making this exciting new partnership a natural fit for both companies.”

Liddle Doors will continue to operate from their site in Seaham, County Durham. Production of some of their products will take place at Bradbury Group’s new 135,000 sq. ft. site on Foxhills Industrial Estate in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. Having invested around £8m into machinery and facilities, this site has the capacity to produce over 100 doorsets in one working day and the ability to store up to 4000 finished doorsets.

Several key appointments have also been made at Bradbury Group in the last few months, including a new Sales and Marketing Director, Anil Patel.

Bradbury Group operates three other divisions: steel door manufacturer, Bradbury Security; Scotland-based Newton Security Doors, specialising in communal entrances in the social housing and public sectors; and Martin Roberts, offering architectural doorsets, having installed in some of London’s most iconic skyscrapers.

The addition of Liddle Doors adds a range of new products and services, the Group adds. These include LPS 1175 SR3 and SR4 kiosks, cages and bar sets, hatch covers, bottle clamps, anti-climb solutions, and associated civil works.

Mike Holloway, Director of Liddle Doors, says: “Becoming part of Bradbury Group delivers sustainability to the brand, reassurance to our clients, security to our employees, and added value to the Group. We already have a fantastic working relationship with Bradbury Group, and we look forward to taking the next steps into an exciting future that utilises our joint experience and expertise to deliver the highest quality products and services to our customers. Quality physical security solutions are crucial across all sub-divisions of the utilities sector, particularly within water industries, in helping to prevent serious threats to our infrastructure that would endanger public health, such as water contamination and misuse of water treatment chemicals.”

And Paul Sweeting, Technical and Export Director at Bradbury Group, says: “Having worked closely with Mike and his team over the past two years, latterly as part of a joint venture, it has been clear to see how the success during this period can be attributed to the way in which the two business models complement each other so well. Whilst once we could loosely be considered competitors, the determination of both businesses to focus on their strengths has provided the foundation for successful collaboration and now the exciting formal addition of Liddle into the Bradbury Group family.

“Combining the manufacturing might and scale of Bradbury Group with the project management and delivery skills of the Liddle Doors business, this exciting addition to our Group provides a bright future for both businesses and an opportunity to help pave the way for success in an evolving marketplace.”
