Design Engineer – Letchworth, Herts
We are working with a large and well-respected security integrator who specialise in providing high-tech CCTV and Access Control solutions to major clients throughout the EMEA region. They have a fantastic company culture, great benefits and an excellent portfolio.
We are looking for a Design engineer to work within the design team, supporting the project management department to ensure the projects meet both clients security and company design standards.
Job Role:
The main purpose of this role is to create, maintain and manage client design tools, including template drawing files, approved materials lists and document guides for basis of design. The ideal candidate will need to work in cross functional teams that include the CAD engineers, design engineers, project managers and application engineers. They will also be responsible for meeting with clients, architects and general contractors to aid in the development of the security design.
Skills Required:
- Able to prioritse work in fast paced environment.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Good problem solving skills and be well organized.
- Able to multi-task and manage time
- Previous experience within a project management, consulting, coordinator or engineering role is highly desirable.
- Must have excellent security product knowledge to include, but not limited to (Lenel S2, CCure, Genetec, Milestone, Mercury Hardware, HID, Avigilon, AXIS, Assa Abloy, Allegion, Schlage Electronic Hardware, Altronix and Life Safety Power Supplies)
- Ideally have previous experience working for a security integrator, or similar.
This role will be predominately based from their state of the art office, however hybrid working is also a consideration.
