HID Global, the California-based identity and access control product company, launched UltraCardPremium cards at the ISC West International Security Conference and Exposition in the US.

A card for High Definition Printing (HDP) applications, the UltraCard Premium is described as a non-technology card for the Fargo HDP5000 and other Direct-to-Card (DTC) applications.

The UltraCard Premium’s composite material construction provides for it is claimed durability, flexibility and card life, with resolution print quality for re-transfer printing, lamination and fluorescent panel ribbon printing applications. It can be used with any card printer on the market, the makers add.

The UltraCard product line is available as part of HID’s Global’s Fargo brand secure card issuance solutions.

“UltraCard Premium cards are ideal for customers who need high durability non-technology cards for printing applications,” said Ryan Park, product marketing manager, HID Global. “Progressing from the UltraCard III, the UltraCard Premium continues a strong line of innovative card products.”

In addition to blank stock, the UltraCard Premium is available in a variety of configurations including custom HoloMark, custom VeriMark and magnetic stripe. The new card does not fluoresce, and serves as a direct replacement to the UltraCard III and “Smartshield” card.
