MITIE Branch

by Msecadm4921

MITIE has opened a security branch office in Bridgend.

The support services firm says it’s to meet increased customer demand in South Wales and the South West of England.

Where, what

The new branch, by junction 35 of the M4, will improve response times and will provide the business with a footprint to further expand its range of manned guarding, key holding and mobile patrolling services, the firm says. Some 280 officers and staff already provide security at more than 80 client sites to customers including Tesco, SA Brains and Centrica.

What they say

Bob Forsyth, Regional Managing Director, said: "We now have a dedicated mobile response team covering the area which has increased our service offering for clients in the region. I would like to congratulate Area Manager Bob Roberts and his team on the speed at which they have been able to get the branch up and running. I am greatly looking forward to assisting our customers in Wales to further improve their security performance."

About MITIE Group PLC

The firm’s services range from Engineering Maintenance, Facilities Management and Security to Cleaning, Landscaping and Fit-out. MITIE now employs 39,000 people across the UK and has a turnover exceeding £930m. MITIE is an acronym for Management Incentive Through Investment Equity. MITIE Security is the division providing contract guarding, remote monitoring, key holding, patrol and alarm response services, electronic security and gallery attendants. Following the recent acquisition of Initial Security Limited (Initial Security UK), the UK manned guarding business of Rentokil Initial plc, MITIE Security became, it says, the second largest manned guarding business in the UK employing over 9,000 officers.
