The Custom House, Docklands venue Excel London has had tailored behaviour detection training introduced by the contractor Carlisle Support Services and CT Protect. Aimed at adding to overall preparedness for evolving risks, the training was customised to fit Excel security personnel, the contract company reports.
When incorporated with other security measures, behavioural detection can be a powerful tool, the contractor adds, offering a systematic approach to identifying and deterring those with hostile intentions. The training placed an emphasis on observation skills, situational awareness, and interaction. The practical nature of the training enabled staff to practice real-life scenarios to develop those skills by adopting the latest methods as used by law enforcement and counter-terrorism units.
The training also stressed collaboration and coordination among security personnel, event organisers, and partners. As the contractor says, communication and coordination are critical for responses to security incidents. The training fostered a sense of teamwork and unity among the security staff, promoting a cohesive approach to safeguarding the event space and its attendees, Carlisle added.
Henry Havis, Head of Security Strategy and Resilience at Excel London said: “The safety and security of everyone who visits our venue remains our utmost importance.
